Mr. Servin was born on May 15, 1963, in Rioverde, San Luis, Potosi, Mexico, to the late Luis Servin Yanez and Antonia Gutierrez Perez, and died Friday, January 10, 2025, in Lufkin.
Mr. Servin was a loving and caring strong man. Although he was a big jokester, he could be grouchy when he needed to be. Mr. Servin was a huge Dallas Cowboys fan and loved scratch offs and going to the casino. He enjoyed dancing and listening to music, his favorite music being cumbias and tejano. Above all, Mr. Servin was a family man, and his favorite time was family time. He was a wonderful grandfather, dad, husband, brother, uncle, and friend.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Maria Servin Rendon of Lufkin; daughter and son-in-law, Esmeralda Servin Morales and Jesus Morales of Lufkin; daughter and son-in-law, Jessica and Eugenio Aldava, Jr. of Lufkin; son and daughter-in-law, Lucio Servin, Jr. and Maria Garcia of Lufkin; grandchildren, Alyxandra, Lynda, Evie, Emi, Sadie, Eleina, Elitza, Abigail, Jesse, Catalyna, Reyna, and Sophia; sister, Yolanda Palacios of Lufkin; sister, Maria Espitia of Lufkin; brother, Francisco Servin of San Antonio; numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
Mr. Servin was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Luis Servin and Rogelio Servin.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the nurses in the ICU at CHI St. Luke's Health in Lufkin.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 Noon to 1:00 p.m., Monday, January 13, 2025, at Shafer Funeral Home, prior to the funeral service. A rosary will be recited at 1:00 p.m.
