Lucy Lee Williams Swain was the 12th child born to Ben and Georgia Williams. Lucy was baptized at early age at Park Spring Baptist Church. Lucy graduated from the Manor High School.
She was active member of Rising Star Baptist Church for over fifty years where she served on Usher Board, Mission I and II, and Youth Mother. She was a faithful member until her health declined.
Lucy loved her family, She was the first female president of the Henry and Anne Williams Family Reunion. Lucy was member of Iota Phi Lamba Sorority-Pelatis Auxiliary where she served as President, and chairman of several committees.
Lucy loved all pets. She worked as Veterinarian Assistant for over thirty years at Northwest Veterinarian Clinic.
Lucy was preceded in death by her parents Ben and Georgia Williams, her siblings: Annie Galloway, Bennie Williams, John Williams, Beulah Mae Fresch, Alberta Williams, Sam Williams, Maude Miles, Georgia Fletcher, Jimmie Williams, Ruby Washington, Mary Spence, Joseph Williams; Her daughter Ruby Jo Swain Harrison and grandson Jamaal Harrison.
She leaves to cherish her memories two sons Sammie Swain of Austin, TX and David Swain(Linda) of Houston, TX and two daughters Racheal Swain of Austin, TX and Denice Sims (Kenneth) of Dallas, TX; 11 Grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
