Luella Ann Siddons Whitaker, 96 of Danville, passed away on October 03, 2025 at the Village of Avon. She was born on March 19, 1929 in Indianapolis to the late Mary (Stegemoller) and Theodore Stoneking. Luella married Carter Max Siddons on February 08, 1947 and he preceded her in death on November 13, 1971. She married William S. Whitaker on March 20, 1976 and he preceded her in death on October 17, 2002. Luella worked as a caseworker for the Welfare Department for many years and prior to that for the Danville School System. She often volunteered to serve as the chairman for the annual school Halloween Festival. Luella was a member of the Danville American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and the Sigma Alpha Row Chapter. Survivors include her children, Mike (Jody) Siddons of Heritage Lake, Carter Siddons of Plainfield, Max (Kelly) Siddons of Danville, Terri (Bill) Yarkosky of Colorado; stepchildren, Stanley W. (Sue) Whitaker of Plainfield, Jon (Linda) Whitaker of Pittsboro, Lynette Roccia of Missouri, Susie Leach of Mooresville; 29 grandchildren; 67 great grandchildren; and 41 great-great grandchildren (give or take a few). Her parents; husbands; brothers, William H. Stoneking and James T. Stoneking; and sons, Steve Siddons and Dennis Siddons, preceded her in death.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17, 2025 from 2:00 - 4:00 pm in Baker Funeral Home, Danville. A Memorial Service will begin at 4:00 pm with Pastor Venessa Harmel officiating.
