Luis Cordova Jr. was born in Bronx, NY on June 11, 1973, to Zoila Guerrero Cordova and Luis Adolfo Cordova. An amazing husband, father, brother, uncle, friend and devout follower of Jesus. He passed away peacefully at home on July 30, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. He was a man of many passions, known for his unwavering love for his family and his deep faith.

Luis was a devoted husband to his loving wife Luz Marina Cordova of 24 years. They raised three wonderful children: Luis Cordova, Christian Cordova and Gabriel Cordova who were the pride and joy of his life. As a father, he nurtured and guided his children, instilling in them values of hard work, perseverance, and the importance of following one's passions.

Luis had a lifelong passion for baseball, and even took his passion and skills to the professional level. In the 1990’s he was blessed to play professional baseball with the Catskill Cougars and the Massachusetts Mad Dogs. He often shared his knowledge with his sons, and his enthusiasm for the sport with friends and family. Luis cherished every moment spent on the field with his sons. Whether coaching, playing, or simply cheering them on, he loved every moment along side his sons. Baseball was more than just a game for Luis; it was a way to bond with his sons and create memories filled with laughter, teamwork, and love.

A true adventurer at heart, Luis also had a great love for motorcycles. Luis found immense joy in riding motorcycles with his beloved wife. The open road was their shared aventure, exhilaration, and a deep connection.

Luis was always a hard worker. He held the position of High Net Worth Brokerage Supervisor, Vice President at HSBC.

He was also a cherished brother, the youngest of 6, and uncle, always ready with a helping hand and a warm smile. His family was his foundation.

Luis’ faith in Jesus was the cornerstone of his life. His devotion to his faith was evident in every aspect of his life, from his kind and generous spirit to his unwavering trust in God’s plan. He found strength and solace in his faith, which guided him through life challenges and joys.

Luis Cordova will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His legacy of love, passion, and faith will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.

In lieu of flowers a fund has been established. Any contributions raised will go towards funeral expenses and supporting the family's immediate needs as they navigate this difficult period. Any contribution, no matter how small, is deeply appreciated.
