Luis is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 43 years, Barbara Keener-Ortiz; his sons, Luis Ortiz Jr., Eric Ortiz, Steven Ortiz, Christopher McFarland; and his One and Only daughter, Breanna Ortiz. Sister, Margarita Arce and husband Carlos Arce; brother, Carmelo Ortiz and wife Aida Ortiz; sister, Luz Melendez and husband Wilfredo Melendez; his Babygirl, Aaliyah; grandson, Adrian Ortiz; Tias, Tio, and many cherished nieces and nephews.
Luis is predeceased by his mother and father, Etelvina Rivera and Carmelo Ortiz. Luis was a Retired Veteran, proudly serving 20 years in The United States Army. He was a problem solver and nothing was too big, because if he couldn't, duct tape could! Luis is best known for cracking jokes, being the life of the party, and had a smile which could light up any room. He will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Family and friends will be received on Monday, December 12, 2022 from 10:00am-11:30pm followed by a funeral service at 11:30am at DeMarco – Luisi Funeral Home, 2755 S. Lincoln Ave. Vineland, NJ. Burial will follow at Cumberland County Veterans Cemetery in Hopewell, New Jersey.

Barb & Family,
How BLESSED you were with Louie! He loved you all, his sheer love of his family overrode all else.
He left this Eartly Voyage loving each of you. It now lies upon each of you to continue his legacy! Live by his teachings & examples. Continue with your lives and families lives, remembering, "One Voice" CAN begin to make a change for the better in this world. Louie has left many voices! Continue what he started!
My prayers and love to each and every one of you, especially to Mom! She will need you now, even if she is strong, this is going to be very hard! Love you so much Barbara!
