Luke Salvatore Dimicelli, 72, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away peacefully to be with Our Lord and Blessed Mother on Holy Trinity Sunday, May 26, 2024.
Luke was a devout Catholic, a man of great faith who loved saying his Rosary during his daily devotions. He grew up in Houston, graduated from Mount Carmel High School and later served in the Air National Guard. In his accomplished 44-year career with Stewart and Stevenson, he made many lifelong friends and completed his career as the Operations Manager. He has enjoyed his retirement with his wife, spending time with their grandchildren, working in his yard, traveling, and gambling in the casinos. Many afternoons were spent around his pool barbecuing because food was always better when Papa made it.
He was proceeded in death by his parents; Carlo and Jennie Dimicelli and father and mother in-law; Carlo and Lena Salvato.
Luke is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Phyllis Dimicelli. Daughters; Gina Guzzetta and husband Trey, and Michelle Dimicelli Russo. His grandchildren; Carlie, Samantha and Sophia Guzzetta, Dominic, Giovanna and his namesake; Luke Russo. He is also survived by his sister Antoinette Palermo Guzzetta, brothers, Thomas Dimicelli, Frank Dimicelli and sister-in-law Mary Jo, and Joseph Dimicelli. Brother-in-law Frank Salvato and sister-in-law Kay. As well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be Saturday, June 1, 2024, from 10:00 A.M. – 11:00 A.M. at St. Helen Catholic Church, 2209 Old Alvin Road, Pearland, Texas 77581. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 A.M with Rev. Wayne Wilkerson officiating. Rite of Committal will be at 2:00 P.M. at Forest Park Lawndale, 6900 Lawndale St. Houston, Texas 77023.
