Lupe Hernandez Quintero

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Lupe Hernandez Quintero of Phoenix, AZ. On January 23rd, 2026, at the age of 75, surrounded by loved ones, she entered eternal rest.

Lupe is preceded by her parents, Brijido Hernandez and Felipa Ybarra, her husband Jose Pena Quintero, and their daughter, Sandy Quintero. She is survived by her children: Rita Carrasco, Rachel Krane, and Jose Hernandez Quintero, and son in law, Armando Carrasco, her grandchildren: Brittani Romero, Johnny Carrasco, Ariana Gonzalez, Michael Krane, Xavier Carrasco, Briana Grove, Marisa Carrasco, Alex Hernandez, Jose Quintero, and Cooper Krane, her great-grandchildren: Averi, Rozlyn, Mila Jo, Olivia, and Michael, and her sisters, Virginia Ramos, and Teresa Hernandez.

Lupe was a student at Phoenix Union High School. She celebrated 47 years of marriage with the love of her life, Jose. Together, they proudly raised their family in Phoenix, where Lupe later retired from Corning, after 33 years of service. She will forever be remembered for her generosity, devotion, humor, beauty, and for the light that she brought into this world. Beloved Daughter, Sister, Wife, Mom, Nana, Friend- Lupe, your presence will be missed. We love you. See you later, "Chitos!".

On Thursday, February 5, 2026, viewing hours & rosary will be held at Best Funeral Services, 9380 West Peoria Ave., from 2:00-4:00 PM.

On Friday, February 6, 2026, a Funeral Mass will be held at St. Vincent de Paul - Roman Catholic Church, 3140 N. 51st Ave., at 12:00 PM. Lupe will be laid to rest at West Resthaven Park Cemetery, 6450 West Northern Ave., at 2:00 PM. In celebration of her life, a gathering will be held at VFW - Post #6310, located at 10015 W. Van Buren St., from 3:00-6:30 PM.
