Lyle Christopher Cavin III, passed away unexpectedly on March 4th, 2024 aged 56 years.
Loving husband of Susan Cavin of 27 years and devoted father of Lyle Christopher Cavin IV.
Beloved son of Lyle C. Cavin Jr. and Geraldine Crouse. Much loved brother of Gretchen Krueger and her husband Randy, Mitchell Cavin and his wife Hiroko Kaibori, Lindsey Cavin and Stephanie Cavin.
He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Lyle will be especially missed by his four-legged companions, Pippa, Shiloh and Marble.
A lover of the outdoors Lyle enjoyed the desert and mountains that surrounded him, where he would spend time hiking and camping. His artistic creativity was channeled through his interest in painting rocks and leaving them on the various trails he hiked along for others to enjoy. Lyle was an avid reader and a military history buff.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, March 27th at 11am at St, Theresa Catholic Church, 2800 Ramon Road. A reception will follow at the Drift Hotel, 284 S. Indian Canyon Drive, Palm Springs, CA92262
The family asks anyone who has one of Lyle's painted rocks to bring it along to the service.

Lyle was always very kind, upbeat, and thoughtful. He always made you feel welcomed with his big smile. I met him back in the early 90´s through a good friend of mine and her brother.
We definitely enjoyed some fun adventures back then. His memory will always live on in my heart.
