Lyle Douglas Obituary
He was a U.S. Army veteran and served in the Vietnam War for 2 years. Lyle was a member of Waldo Baptist Church, Metropolis, Il. and the Kiwanis Club. He was an avid fan of the University of Ky. Wildcats and the St. Louis Cardinals.
Lyle was preceded in death by his parents, John and Katie Douglas; infant brother, David Neal Douglas; son, Brian Douglas; brother, Charles Leary Douglas (Nancy); sister, Janice Giltner (Donley); grandson, Zachary Douglas and most recently, his loving wife, Marjorie Douglas.
He is survived by his children, Danita Harris of Brookport, Il., Richard Douglas (Tracy) of Paducah, Ky., DaLena Kate Douglas of Brookport, Il., Mark Bruederle, Justin Tweedy, Rachael Benedict(Brandon), and Michael Murphy (Bryanna); grandchildren, Amber Howard (Con), Ashley Frey (Brandon), Blake Harris, Madison Benedict, Trenton Tweedy, Michael Murphy III, Joseph Gibbs, Asia Gibbs, and Elaina Murphy; 6 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be 1 P.M. Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at Ratterman Southwest 4832 Cane Run Rd. with entombment in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 P.M. to 8 P.M. Monday.
