I am deeply saddened to announce the passing of my beloved wife Lynda Gassett McAdams on July 19, 2025 after a long illness. Lynda always carried herself with grace, humility, and joy. She brightened any room she entered with a lovely glowing smile, humorous stories and southern charm. She loved to learn, meet new people, experience different cultures, read, and travel. She constantly worked at improving herself, reading new books, learning bridge and mah-jongg, making new friends, and caring for animals. Born 12/9/1949 in Macon, GA, she grew up in the deep south in the small town of Byron, GA. She graduated from Shorter College in Rome GA with a degree in Education, and added a Masters Degree a few years later. She had many talents and won many awards, including being named Miss Shorter College, receiving a teacher of the year award, and several USTA tennis tournaments. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Robin McAdams, two step sons, Logan McAdams (April) and Cory McAdams (Jennifer), and 6 grandchildren! She will be deeply missed by her many friends and family. In lieu of flowers Lynda requests donations to either the Peninsula SPCA (in Northern California), or the Old Friends Retirement Farm for race horses in Georgetown, KY.
