Lynn Karen Boenker

Lynn Karen Boenker, age 74, died July 24, 2023. Lynn was born March 25, 1949, to parents Harold and Dorothy (Gerlach) Boenker. She spent part of her childhood in Appleton and part in Ohio. Following high school graduation, she attended Concordia Teachers College in Seward NE where she earned a BS in Education.   Eventually, Lynn returned to her roots in Appleton WI and began work at Riverside Paper where she served as an accounting clerk.   Lynn was one feisty person. She was opinionated and sassy to boot.  She was adept at creating lifelong friendships and loved to spin a yarn while sharing a bottle of red wine (or a margarita if you wanted more details than not) with those she loved.    A memorial service for Lynn will be held on Friday September 8, 2023, at First English Lutheran Church, 326 E North Street, Appleton at 11:00am. Friends and family may gather at the church from 10:00am until the time of the service.  She will be laid to rest in the scattering garden at First Congregational Church, Appleton.   In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to First English Lutheran Church in Lynn’s name.
