Patricia Lynn Hames (Pickens)
Born July 10, 1956 at Emory Hospital in Atlanta, GA to Tom and Sara Pickens who preceded her in death, passed peacefully in her home surrounded by her children and grandchildren whom she loved and adored on August 23, 2024 at 11:15pm.
Lynn grew up in Decatur and retired from the IRS after 30 plus years of service. She had 2 children Jason Smith and Michelle Smith and adopted her third child Miranda Faith in 2004. Lynn was a doting mother and grandmother she enjoyed spending time together with family every chance she got. Everyone saw her as a second mom or lovingly referred to her as Aunt Lynn, she would help anyone in need however she could and always had a shoulder to lean on in tough times. Lynn was an outgoing vibrant woman who loved life, she loved antiquing and enjoyed going to Tennessee and Florida whenever she could get the chance.
Lynn is survived by her 3 children Michelle Smith, Jason (Brittney)Smith and Miranda Faith. Her grandchildren Joseph Houser, Mikayla-Lynn Houser, James (Ashley) Houser, Alyssa Bentley, Hailey Bryant, Hunter Smith and Everett Hames. Great granddaughter Keira Houser and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Sister in love Brenda Still Pickens.
She is preceded in death by her mother and father Tom and Sara Pickens, sister Sarah Juanita Mayo, brothers James Donald Pickens, Thomas Wayne(Brenda) Pickens, Ted Howard Pickens, Jimmy Lewis Pickens.
Lynn will be greatly missed by all who knew her, our only solace is knowing that she is no longer in pain and is now surrounded by her family who went before her in heaven with her precious Heavenly Father. Rest easy our precious angel...
