Lynn Woodall, age 76, passed away peacefully at his residence on July 12, 2025, surrounded by family. Born on April 13, 1949, in the same town where he would spend his entire life, Lynn's journey was one marked by service, passion, and the warmth of a life well lived.
Lynn proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of McHelen Baptist Church. Lynn was renowned for his musical ability, particularly his skill with the guitar. Many will remember the joyous sounds of his strumming as he played in various bands, sharing his love for music with all who listened.
Lynn also had a deep love for autos. His eyes would light up at the mere mention of cars. Yet, it was perhaps his gift for gab and storytelling that will be most fondly remembered. Above all, Lynn was a family man. His life was a melody composed of service, harmony, and devotion to the things that mattered most. He will be greatly missed by his friends and most especially by his family, who take comfort in the countless happy memories they shared.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard "Shorty" and Janie Woodall; and stepson, Chris Gaydon.
Lynn is survived by his Wife, Sandra Woodall; stepdaughter, Jessica Tatum; brother, Tim Woodall (Cheryl); grandchildren, Cody Edwards, Tyler Edwards, Justin Edwards and Maci Gaydon; as well as other beloved family and friends.
Graveside services are scheduled for 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at the Georgia National Cemetery with Rev. Tim Woodall officiating. There will be a funeral procession leaving Sosebee Funeral Home at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
