M. Louise Hadder, age 97, of Showell, MD died Thursday, September 26, 2024 at Delmar Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Delmar, DE. She was born in Wango, MD and was the daughter of the late Edgar Adkins and Elizabeth (Holloway) Adkins.
Louise was a poultry farmer, homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a member of Showell United Methodist Church and a charter member of the Showell Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by two children, Linwood Hadder of Showell, MD and Linda Hunt and husband Dennis of Woodbine, MD; three grandchildren, Nicole Swift (Randy), Andrew Hunt (Leslie) and Emily Preissner (Michael); six great-grandchildren, Allison, Paige, Aviana, Hampton, Olivia and Lorelei
Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Paul T. Hadder; two brothers, Reginald Adkins and Joseph Adkins; three sisters, Dorothy Wilgus, Ina Adkins and Bernice Blades.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at Bishop-Hastings Funeral Home, 19 South Main St., Selbyville, DE where a visitation will be held an hour before the service. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Berlin.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Showell United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 55, Showell, MD 21862.
