Macayla Meshell Bartek, a devoted wife and hardworking mother, passed away tragically on September 25, 2023, in Belton, Texas. She was born on July 8, 1993, in her hometown of Temple, Texas. Macayla's journey in life was marked by love for her family and unwavering determination to achieve her dreams.

Macayla attended school in Temple and graduated in 2011. Fueled by her passion for computers and technology, she pursued higher education at Temple College. There, she earned an associate's degree in Computer Science before furthering her studies at Central Texas A&M University. It was at A&M where Macayla's dedication and perseverance led to the accomplishment of her ultimate goal - receiving a bachelor's degree in Computer Science on the dean’s list with honors.

Macayla's career path took an unexpected turn when she became the manager of Jack In The Box. Her managerial role allowed her to showcase not only her skills as a leader but also her innate ability to connect with people. However, the confines of a fast-food restaurant did not define Macayla's ambitions. She had dreams of becoming an electrical engineer for Tesla, envisioning a future where she could contribute to advancements in sustainable technology.

Though accomplished professionally, Macayla's proudest accomplishments lay within the walls of her own home. She treasured her role as a wife to Nathan Bartek and cherished being a mother to their three beautiful children. Macayla poured all her love and affection into these precious relationships, ensuring that her family always came first.

Macayla was known for her selflessness and unwavering dedication to those dear to her heart. She possessed the remarkable ability to express tough love when necessary but always with the purest intent - to guide and support her loved ones. Her family could always rely on her honest words, given out of sincere love and concern.

When Macayla wasn't tending to her family's needs, she enjoyed spending time with them. Family was central to her life, and every moment spent together brought immense joy. Whether it was a simple gathering or participating in shared hobbies and interests, Macayla valued these connections above all else.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Vanessa Waddington, and her grandparents.

Tragically, Macayla's life was cut short by a devastating car accident. The loss of such an extraordinary soul has left a profound void in the lives of those who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed by her husband, Nathan Bartek, her children, David Lee Weber IIII, Khloe Bartek, and Ada Bartek, as well as her brother, Derek Shuler. Macayla also leaves behind her sisters, Meghan (Schott) Beisel, Sabine Schott, Sabrina (Schott) Stark, Heather Young, Danielle Schott, and Alexandra Schott; her father, Milton Schott, and her father for most of her life, Danny Waddington.

A visitation to honor Macayla's life will be held on Thursday, September 28, 2023, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Crotty Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Belton. Family and friends are also invited to share memories and stories about her during her visitation from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Macayla was special to so many and hearing the impact she made on so many lives will be an amazing way to honor her.  A graveside service will follow on Friday, September 29th at Val Verde Baptist Church Cemetery in Holland, Texas, at 11:00 AM.

Macayla Meshell Bartek touched the lives of many with her selflessness, determination, and boundless love for family. Her spirit will forever be remembered as an inspiration to all who had the privilege of knowing her. May she find eternal peace, and may her legacy continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those she left behind.
