Mr. Lannis Mack Mock, age 81, of Franklin passed away April 25, 2025.
His funeral will be held Sunday April 27, 2025 at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Stutts Funeral Home with Rev. Neil Awbrey officiating. Interment will follow in Heard County Memorial Gardens.
The family will accept guests at Stutts Funeral Home Sunday afternoon from 1:00 – 3:00 PM prior to the service.
Mr. Mock was born March 3, 1944 in Jacksonville, FL to the late Lannis Cassidy Mock and Louise Miles Mock. He was a member of Glenloch Baptist Church.
He was well known as a truck driver and was a proud member of Teamsters Union Local 728. He worked hard to provide for his family. He always kept his truck in pristine condition and was very proud of it.
He saved his most precious moments for his family. He dearly missed his wife, Mattie, to whom he was married 53 years until her passing. He was especially proud of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He loved to take trips with the family to Lake Okeechobee where he engaged in his favorite pastime, fishing. Many lasting memories were made with family and friends.
Survivors include: three children: Johnny Mock (Angie), Cheryl Clark (Rusty), and Curtis Mock (Dawne) all of Franklin; grandchildren: Alek Mock (Sara), Emily Mock, Jace Mock (Caitlin), Hunter Clark, Martin Clark (Summer), and Malinda Clark; great-grandchildren: Hudson Mock, Millie Mock, Honey Clark, and one expected soon; and a number of beloved nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mattie Mock; a sister, Ann Silcox; and two brothers, Charles Mock and Harry Mock.
