Madlynn Donita Churchwell was born on October 3, 1964 in Nashville, TN to Juanita Wooten and Richard Churchwell. On January 8, 2025, Madlynn entered enteral rest. Madlynn is preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Juanita (Wooten) Thompson and Victor Thompson, her father, Richard Churchwell, and nephew, Thomas White, Jr. 

Madlynn was educated in the Metropolitan Nashville School System and graduated from Hume Fogg High School in 1982. Madlynn attended college at Tennessee State University, where she received her Bachelor's degree in Speech Pathology and Ideology. Madlynn also futhered her education by pursuing post-graduate learning. 

Madlynn always had a passion for helping individuals with intellectual disabilities. Madlynn went on use to her education and passion to establish a 38 year career with the State of Tennessee with the Department of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. Throughout her career, Madlynn, enjoyed knowing her hard work and dedication made a difference in the lives of her clients and their families. 

Madlynn treasured her time with her children, Ariel and Erinn Parker, and grandchildren, Giovanni, Patience, and Gianni. Madlynn loved sightseeing and touring Nashville and new cities, eating at restaurants, listening to jazz music, and watching television. 

Madlynn leaves to cherish her memory, her daughters, Ariel Parker and Erinn Parker; grandchildren, Giovanni Macon-Jones, Patience Parker, and Gianni Macon-Jones; her sisters, Cynthia Churchwell and Audermisha Lynch (Edward Lynch); niece, Moniqua Snipes, and nephews, Daniel Page Jr. and Roshaun Fleming. She leaves behind her devoted cousins, Essie Ruth, Latonia Holland; and loving friends, Elmarie Briee, Hattie Moore, Priscilla Miller, and Ruby Smith, as well a host of other loved ones and friends.
