Mallory Parker Obituary Mallory Anne Parker of Chicago, Illinois passed away on Thursday, March 6, 2025, taken too soon at the age of 34. She was known for her kind heart, radiant smile and boundless curiosity about life.
Born on April 3, 1990, at Yale Hospital, New Haven, Connecticut to Tony Parker and Sharon (O'Brien) Parker. Mallory moved with her family to Waveland, Indiana in 2002. She graduated in the top ten of her class at Southmont Senior High School, New Market, Indiana in 2008. Her thirst for knowledge led her to pursue higher education, graduating with a bachelor's degree in philosophy from Purdue University in 2013 and later graduating with her master's degree. Mallory developed a passion for instilling knowledge in young minds while continuing to cultivate her own mind as she also taught at Purdue University while pursuing her master's degree. In 2016 she graduated with her doctorate in philosophy-neuroscience-psychology from Washington University in St. Louis.
Mallory moved to Chicago, Illinois in 2017 where she could be immersed in an environment of diverse culture. She was a very social and passionate woman who loved art and music. Among her many talents she enjoyed ballet as well as writing and performing improv at Second City Theater. Her zest for life and creativity brought great joy to all who knew her.
She will be lovingly remembered by her parents, Tony & Sharon Parker (Waveland, IN); sister Lindsey Harding (Clinton, CT); brother, Jeff Parker & (Melanie Hernandez) (San Antonio, TX). She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Marjorie (Evans) O'Brien (1988), Meredith Parker (2015), Edward O'Brien (2016) and Betty Parker (2023); and brother, Robert Joseph (Parker) Clinton (2023).
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2025, from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm at Legacy Church, 1047 SR-47, Crawfordsville, IN 47933. Greeting from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. with a memorial service from 11:00 - 12:00 noon. Friends and family are invited for refreshments and fellowship from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. Mallory will be laid to rest at a later date at Oakwood Cemetery,
Warsaw, Indiana. Arrangements were entrusted to Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road,
Warsaw, Indiana.
Memorial donations may be directed to the "Grandma Grace Memorial Scholarship Fund"...The Scholarship funds are managed by Humans United for Equality (HUE) of Montgomery County, which is a nonprofit.
Donations can be mailed to HUE at PO Box 484, Crawfordsville, IN 47933, or made directly to the account at any Montgomery County Hoosier Heartland State Bank. Just make sure to mention it's for the Grandma Grace Memorial Scholarship Fund.
Donations are only used to pay the fees associated with the dancer directly to Dance By Deborah. The scholarship pays for one year of tuition, plus the shoes and costume needed. The Scholarship is managed by four volunteer women, 3 of whom grew up dancing at Dance By Deborah and when Grace passed away, wanted to show the support and love to the community by creating a scholarship opportunity in her name for those in need that otherwise would not be able to attend a dance class.
