Obituary published on Legacy.com by Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory on Apr. 24, 2025.
Mandy Leigh (Stuart) Peacock, a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia, at the age of 48. She is now at home with her Lord.
Born November 11, 1976, in Las Vegas, Nevada, Mandy was the cherished daughter of Dennis Lee and Melodie Laine (Haynes) Stuart. She graduated from Warner Robins High School in 1995 and subsequently served in the Air Force Reserves, earning her Emergency Medical Technician certification, a path her sister followed with pride. Her dedication to service continued as she pursued a career as an Electronics Maintenance Technician, completing an internship with the Air Force in 2002 and subsequently working for 23 years as an Electronics Technician at Robins Air Force Base.
Mandy's faith was a cornerstone of her life. Baptized at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Warner Robins, she later became a devoted member of Harvest Church, reaffirming her commitment to her heavenly father. Her life was a testament to her deep faith, her unwavering service to others, and her boundless love for her family and community.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Mandy possessed a vibrant spirit and a remarkable artistic talent. Known affectionately as the "Glitter Girl" by her friends, she found joy in repurposing old furniture and creating beautiful, decorative wreaths. Her greatest pride, however, was her family. She and her husband, Joseph Jerrell Peacock, whom she married on December 31, 2020, in Eastman, Georgia, were blessed with the opportunity to adopt their beloved twin boys, Stuart Laine Peacock and Michael Caine Peacock. Her kindness extended to all creatures, evidenced by her dedication to fostering and adopting pets.
Mandy was predeceased by her cousins Todd Frakes, Melissa Frakes, Travis Cox, Ashley Crook, and Heather Dawn Stanfield. She is survived by her devoted husband, Joseph Jerrell Peacock; her precious twin sons, Stuart Laine Peacock and Michael Caine Peacock; her step-son, Austin Jerrell Peacock; her step-daughter, Laney Reese Peacock her in-laws, Homer and Jo R Peacock of Chester, Georgia; her mother Melodie and father Dennis, her sister, Denne Boykins, and husband Chris Boykins; her nieces Katie, Abigail, Bethany, and Samantha Boykins; her Aunt Valerie Crook; Uncle Jack and wife Melinda Haynes; cousins Bradley and Colby Haynes; Uncle Mickey Juarez; Aunt Theresa Cox; cousin Ann Marie; cousins Lenny, Bobby and Jimmy Cox, Aunt Pam Kleinhesselink; cousin James Limbaugh; Aunt Regina Schneider and husband Jim; cousins Kristen Bourgeois and Kasey Schneider; and numerous other extended family members and friends whose lives she touched deeply.
Mandy's legacy of love, faith, and service will forever be cherished by all who knew her. She will be deeply missed. A celebration of her life will be on Monday, April 28, 2025, at 11:00 am at Harvest Church, with Pastor Jim Cowart officiating.
Memorial will also be live streamed via Facebook on Mandy's page. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you make a contribution to the Humane Society, Pet Rescue, or a pet adoption service in Mandy's honor. That would mean more to her than flowers. Flowers can wilt and die, connecting an animal with a forever home with love will never wilt and die.
With honor and dignity, Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory has been entrusted with the arrangements.
