Marc Bailey Obituary
Marc had a passion for teaching and was a Master in Tae Kwon Do for nearly forty years. He felt honored, humbled, and blessed to be able to teach so many amazing students who became extended family. Marc touched many lives of many people through Tae Kwon Do and in every day life.
He had the honor of meeting and marrying his best friend and the love of his life Belinda, where he gained his beautiful daughter Allison and amazing son Kevin, who then added their precious daughter-in-love, Sherry. He was the proud Papa to Lilyann, Jaxon, and Saylor, whom he absolutely adored.
Marc could always be found, or not found, in nature. He loved to spend time getting lost in the woods with his dogs or a grandchild by his side, teaching his kids how to cut down a Christmas tree on the side of a mountain, eating dandelions, fighting off mountain lions, or roasting marshmallows with his grandchildren.
His strong embrace, cheeky grin, subtle wit and loving heart will never be forgotten, because it is engraved in our hearts.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to: Brushy Baptist Church 49 Hughes Road Oden, AR 71961.
Graveside service will be Wednesday, September 20, 2023, 10:00 am, at Brushy Cemetery in Oden, Arkansas, with Bro. Tommy Beshears officiating.. Arrangements are under the direction of Thornton Funeral Home in Mount Ida. Guest register at www.thorntonfh.com.

Marc was a huge influence in my life. I'm so grateful that God allowed our paths to cross. I pray that God allowed me to have had as much of an impact in his life as he was to mine. Many days I would struggle with things but he encourage me to press forward. He taught me that at the end of the day, family is what is important and that God put each of us in this world to be an impact and to love others, even if it's tough love. I wish I had known him longer, but even in that little bit of time, he had taught me so much through his actions and the wisdom that he gave. I love the Bailey family dearly and I hope they know that they are in my prayers. (Isaiah 40;31)

We were so sad to hear of Marc's passing. Marc was such a great teacher to our son. Our son loves being a part of Tae Kwon Do because of Marc's love for the sport, the children he has taught, and how he was so encouraging to them all! We will miss you Marc!

Marc was an incredible man who loved and taught my boys so much. He was an amazing Tae Kwon Do instructor but his integrity was what really stood out. My boys wanted to please him, not bc he demanded it, but bc they were loved and encouraged. They gained so much confidence from his instruction and loved him so much. We'll miss Master Bailey and we'll never forget him.

When did he NOT make anyone laugh or smile? Marc had straight drop kicked me in the chest during a class one time and literally knocked the breath out of me. Literally I was so embarrassed but, it was sooo funny and all we could do was laugh about it. At work, I knew it would be a good day if Marc was our manager. -Alyssa

One of the last Turkey bowl games played on Thanksgiving morning with employees of Storms. All three of my sons worked with Marc through the years he was at Storms. ( Micah, Nick &Tj) He taught my Grandson the martial arts. He was loved by many and will be missed.

Whether he knew it or not, Marc was a huge influence in my life. I first met him when I was in middle school starting out in his Tae Kwon Do class. From day one up until I left Storms, he has taught me an infinite amount of things about being a respectable man. I saw him as a role model and wanted to model my life in the likes of his. I hope he rests easy up there in heaven.
