MARCELLA M. KONTZ, 88, of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 1:17 am, Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at Three Springs Senior Living and Rehabilitation, Chester, Illinois.
She was born to the late Hugo and Margaret (nee Zimmer) Hohgrefe on September 22, 1936 in Bremen, Illinois.
Marcella married Donald R. Kontz on August 27, 1955 in Bremen, Illinois; he preceded her in death on February 24, 2010.
She was a homemaker and had several jobs over the years.
Marcella was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Chester, St. John's LWML, a lifetime member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary #3553 and the American Legion Auxiliary Post #487 in Chester.
