Marcia Hoemann

Marcia Hoemann, asleep in Jesus, August 26, 2024. Born August 22, 1929 in St. Louis, MO to G. H. Louis and Mabel (Winiger) Marting. Loving wife of the late Victor Hoemann for 54 years; devoted mother of the late Joy Rodenberger, Mark and Kurt (Sherry) Hoemann; proud grandmother of Adam and Jason Rodenberger, Blair (Keith) O'Donnell, Erin and Bryan (Erica) Hoemann; dear great-grandmother of Grace and Bailey O'Donnell and Brooks Hoemann; beloved sister of Louis Marting. She is preceded in death by her sister-in-law Beatrice Marting.
Marcia graduated from Beaumont High and Harris Teachers College and served on class reunion committees for both schools. She taught first grade at Mark Twain in St. Louis. She began piano lessons at age 7 and went on to be an organist at radio station KFUO, later at Zion (Ferguson), Chapel of the Cross (St. Louis), and as a substitute at various local Lutheran churches.
Visitation will be at Hutchens-Stygar Funeral Home, 5987 Mid Rivers Mall Dr., St. Charles, MO 63304, 4pm to 7pm on Friday, August 30; also 10am to 10:45am on Saturday, August 31 at Chapel of the Cross Lutheran Church (Hwy 270 and Hwy 367), with funeral to follow at 11am. Interment Bethlehem Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Chapel of the Cross, KFUO, and Alzheimer's Association.
