WORCESTER - With heartfelt sorrow, we announce the peaceful passing of Margaret "Midge" Irene (Jones) Bishop, on August 17, 2025, after an illness at UMass medical center surrounded by her family.
She was born April 25, 1943 and raised in Worcester. After marriage, she and her husband Roger moved to Holden, where she raised her four boys while running a small daycare out of her home. She enjoyed her hobbies of gardening, knitting, crafts and card games with friends. She especially loved her vacations to the Maine seacoast. Later in life she moved back to Worcester where she spent her time playing games with friends and enjoying her various array of curios she had collected through the years.
Midge is survived by her four loving boys, Steven and his wife Margo of West Boylston, Sean of Kennebunk, ME, Kevin and his wife Joanne of Holden, and Robert and his wife Catherine of Auburn. She was happiest to be known as "Nana" and will be remembered fondly by her five grandchildren, Samantha, Alexandra, Mikayla, Roger and Lorelei. She also leaves behind her brother Donald Jones of Wildomar, CA, sister-in-law Karen Jones of Placitas, NM, sister-in-law Susan Sulkoski of West Yarmouth, and sister-in-law Joan Dube of Leicester. She was predeceased by her husband Roger S. Bishop and her brother David Jones of Placitas, NM.
At the request of the family, she will be interred with her husband in a private graveside service at Grove Cemetery.
