Margaret Buddle Obituary

Margaret leaves behind a wonderful legacy in her grandchildren; Kristin Buddle, Lauren Albrecht (Austin), James Buddle III, and Matthew Buddle, and great grandchildren; Jonathan Albrecht and Emmett Albrecht.
Margaret will also be greatly missed by her siblings; Dolores Fee (late Thomas), Georgianne Shetzline (Vince), and the late James F. Gushue (Marie) as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and neighbors.
Peg was born and raised in Philadelphia to the late James J. Gushue and Margaret T. (nee Schick) in the Nativity BVM Parish of Port Richmond. She attended Little Flower High School for Girls and was a proud graduate in 1961.
In 1959, Peg and her future husband, James J. Buddle, met at a dance at St. Anne's on Lehigh Avenue. They dated for a number of years while Jim was in the service, and would go on to be married in 1965. In 1967, they bought their first home, and raised their children in Modena Park, and later Deptford NJ.
Peg will be remembered for her elegant sense of style. She possessed a keen eye for interior design, was extremely well dressed, and was somewhat of an amateur Gemologist. She loved history, especially colonial America, England and ancient Egypt. Whenever Peg and Jim were traveling, a museum was always on the itinerary. Peg was the keeper of her family tree and genealogy was her favorite subject.
Relatives and friends are invited to Margaret's Life Celebration on Wednesday, October 25th 2023 at the John F. Givnish Life Celebration Home from 8:30AM-9:30AM with a Mass to follow at St. Martha's (11301 Academy Road, Phila. 19154) at 10AM; interment private.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Little Flower Catholic High School for Girls would be greatly appreciated. https://www.littleflowerhighschool.org/ways-to-give
