Margaret "Peggy" Mary (Bout) Celso, 65, of Windsor Locks, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her four daughters on Friday, November 14, 2025. Born in Hartford, CT on February 1, 1960, daughter of the late Francis V. Bout and Margaret Mary (Ladd) Bout, she was a lifelong resident of Windsor Locks and a graduate of Windsor Locks High School, Class of 1978.
After high school, Peggy worked as a waitress and a bartender first at Sofia's Restaurant in East Windsor where she made many lifelong friends and more recently at the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford where she worked for 15 years until the start of COVID in 2020.
Peggy loved her daughters with her whole heart, going to the casino and traveling with her companion James and all of her friends and family. Some of the fondest memories of Peggy include watching the UConn Ladies Basketball team, Sofias, the Convention Center, and making everyone laugh with her witty personality.
Peggy leaves behind her four daughters, Meagan DeGray, Nicole Murcier, Amanda Murcier, and Kayla Murcier all of Windsor Locks; her eight grandchildren, Bailey, JJ, Carter, Bryce, Liliana, Colby, Brynn, and Tulliah all of Windsor Locks; her two nephews, Ryan and Todd Bout; three lifelong special friends, Margaret Caldwell, Janet Scavetta, and Hilsa DeJesus. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two sisters, Grace Bout and Lisa Bout; and her companion, James Davies.
Her family will receive friends on Thursday, November 20, 3-5 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 5 p.m., in the chapel of the Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave., Windsor.
