Margaret Dew Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers from Jul. 13 to Jul. 14, 2022.
The family of Margaret Dew will host a time of fellowship and remembrance from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, July 14, 2022, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. She went home to the Lord on Monday, July 11, 2022. We invite you to sign her virtual guestbook on this page.

On April 23, 1933, Margaret Sue was born to Marvin and Vera Welch in Levelland, TX. She graduated from Lubbock High School in 1950 and married in 1951. She worked for Retail Merchants, The Lubbock Avalanche-Journal, and the Lubbock Independent School district, but her most important job was being a mother. There was never a moment when her children doubted, that they were the most important people in her life. Her capacity to love was endless and extended to her nieces, nephews & countless friends. If her children loved you, she automatically loved you too. A strong faith was instilled in her at a young age and was the foundation for her life.

Survivors include her son, Christopher Dew, of Lubbock; and sister, Gaye Welch Blackledge of Lubbock.

She was preceded in death by her father, Marvin Welch; mother, Vera Welch; daughter, Gayla Suzanne Dew; and brother, Forrest Welch.

I was sorry to hear about Aunt Sue. It helps to know she is in a better place, but we will miss her.
