Margaret Ann Goodman (née Langer), passed away on April 22, 2025 at the age of 82. She was born in Mineola, NY on February 24, 1943, to the late Walter J. and Adelaide M. (née Jardine) Langer.
Margaret attended Corpus Christi School and Mineola High School. As a young woman, she worked at Hempstead Bank where she eventually met and married her former husband, Jim Gnecco. After living in Quakertown, PA for several years, they moved to Langhorne, PA where Margaret eventually worked for the Woodlyn Crossing Homeowners Association. Finally, she became a long-time employee of Omega Electronics where she worked until her retirement in 2011.
Margaret always loved music and could almost always be found humming, singing or dancing to something, even if it was music in her head, or making her car "dance" to ABBA's greatest hits.
Family was extremely important to Margaret; anything from tracing her family tree to being in her "happy place" at Lake St. Catherine in Vermont, where her family has been spending summer vacations since 1946. It was not uncommon to have 30-40 family members all staying at the lake at the same time. Nothing made her happier than sitting by the lake, a glass of wine in hand, watching her grandchildren play in the water while gossiping with her relatives.
Surviving Margaret are her two daughters, Lizzie Gnecco (Matt Beck) and Danielle Gnecco; grandchildren, Liam Dempsey, Aidan Dempsey, and Lelaina Gnecco; sisters Phyllis Lohan and Barbara Langer; beloved brother-in-law, John Gnecco and his wife Liz; sister-in-law, Janet Langer; and cherished nephew, Simon Langer and his wife Denise Maynard.
She was predeceased by her parents, Walter J. and Adelaide M. (née Jardine) Langer; brother, Walter J. Langer; and grandmother, Adelaide Jardine (née Marques).
Other survivors include Michelle Stumpf, Mike Goodman, and many other nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws.
A private memorial will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, Emmaus.
