Margaret Olden Hacia

Margaret "Peg" Olden Hacia, 86, of Bloomfield, passed away peacefully, in her home, surrounded by her beloved family. Margaret was born in Hartford, to the late Harry and Mildred (Hoffman) Olden. She is predeceased by her loving husband Leopold "Leo." Leopold and Margaret raised their four sons in Bloomfield, where they were parishioners at Sacred Heart Church. Margaret was an incredibly hard worker and upon retirement could be seen at the Bloomfield Senior Center where she volunteered. Margaret was the happiest when she was hosting a holiday meal surrounded by her family. Her apple crisp and chocolate caramel cake are legendary. Margaret leaves her sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and his wife Joanie, Douglas and his wife Lori, Scott and his wife Yolanda, John and Beth. She also leaves her cherished grandchildren Michael, Nicholas, Christopher (and his wife Dannielle), Joshua, Daniel, Alexander, Joseph, Megan, Zachary, and Jonathan as well as her adored great granddaughter Evelyn and bonus grandson Charles Huget. She is survived by her brother, Harry "Sonny" Olden and her sister-in-law Mabel Olden. She is predeceased by her siblings Ruthie, Robert, and Donald.
She also leaves her best friend Deanna Otkowski.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation Friday, September 26, 2025, from 10 AM- 11 AM prior to A Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM at Sacred Heart Church, 26 Wintonbury Avenue, Bloomfield. Burial will be at the convenience of the family with her beloved husband Leopold. Contributions in her memory may be made to either Sacred Heart Church, Bloomfield, CT or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memphis, TN.
