In Loving Memory of Margaret Ann "Peggy" Hopton

November 18, 1948 – July 6, 2025

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Margaret Ann "Peggy" Hopton on Sunday, July 6, 2025, at the age of 76. Peggy was born on November 18, 1948, in Ontario, Canada. After moving to the United States, Peggy met the love of her life, Tim Hopton in 1993. Together, they made their home in Norcross, Georgia, where they built a life filled with love and laughter. Peggy was also immensely proud of becoming an American citizen in 2011 and embraced it with gratitude and joy.

Peggy shared her vibrant spirit, compassion, and kindness with everyone she met. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, adoring grandmother, and cherished friend.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 30 years, Tim Hopton; her children: Andrea Hollahan (Dwayne), Tim Hopton Jr. (Catalina), Nicholas Hopton and Lauren Corwin (Keith); her grandchildren: Jasmine (Alejandro), Sidney, Matthew, Kayla, Jacob, Nicholas Jr., Orion, Leigh, and Emma; and her treasured great-grandson, Nico, as well as a second great-granddaughter due in December.

Peggy's grandchildren were her heart and soul-she lived for them, poured her love into them, and found her greatest joy in their laughter and accomplishments. She created a legacy of warmth and unconditional love that will live on in each of them.

Peggy was passionate about education and lifelong learning. She pursued a career as a medical assistant and, after several years in the field, worked as an office manager for several companies. Her dedication and work ethic mirrored the deep care and attention she gave to her family and friends.

After marrying Tim, the two embraced a life of adventure and togetherness-traveling, boating, camping, fishing, horseback riding, and simply enjoying the outdoors. The time they shared hand in hand reflected the deep bond between them and the life they built together, rich in love and laughter.

Her life was a beautiful tapestry woven with strength, compassion, and joy. She taught her children and grandchildren the values of resilience, kindness, and unwavering support. Peggy's legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her-through the memories she created, the love she so freely gave, and the countless lives she touched.

Celebration of Life services for Peggy will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at 11:00 AM in the Peachtree Corners Chapel of Crowell Brothers Funeral Homes & Crematory with Dr. Michael McCullar officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM.
