Barry Windom Dale

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Barry Windom Dale, aged 77, on October 5, 2025, at his home in Dunwoody, Georgia. Barry was born on July 20, 1948, in Postelle, Tennessee, to the late Windom and Elsie Ramsey Dale. He lived a life rich in love, achievement, and cherished memories.
Barry will be forever remembered as a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Joyce Dale, with whom he shared 57 wonderful years of marriage. Their love story began in high school, where they became sweethearts, and it blossomed into a partnership marked by mutual respect and an unwavering commitment to one another.
Barry was a proud father to two sons and a doting grandfather to two precious granddaughters, all of whom were his pride and joy. He was one of six siblings, a role he embraced with warmth and kindness. Barry was preceded in death by his brother, Dan R Dale, yet he leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to resonate within his family.
An accomplished graduate of the University of Tennessee, Barry earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with honors. He had a successful career as a corporate executive in the chemicals industry, specifically with Eastman Chemical, where he started as a production planner and ultimately made three major career moves. His professional journey was marked by dedication and a strong work ethic, qualities he carried into every aspect of his life.
Outside of his professional achievements, Barry found great joy in golf and woodworking, pursuits that brought him peace and satisfaction. His passions reflected his creative spirit and his desire to connect with nature, and he often shared his love for these hobbies with family and friends.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Joyce Welch Dale, his two sons, Bradley C. Dale (Deanne) of Knoxville, TN, and Matthew J. Dale (Lisa) of Suwanee, GA, as well as his cherished granddaughters, Jade and Lily Dale of Suwanee, GA. He is also survived by his sister, Linda Nickle of Postelle, TN, and brothers Rick Dale (Kathy) of Jackson, GA, Rodney Dale (Linda) of Tucker, GA, and Jon Dale (Belinda) of Jackson, GA.
Barry's disposition was one of warmth and positivity, making those around him feel appreciated and loved. He touched the lives of many and leaves behind a community that is richer for having known him.
