Margaret M. Kern, age 93, died on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at St. Clare's Hospital in Dover, New Jersey.
A lifelong resident of Netcong, Margaret lived her entire life in the home built by her father, a testament to her deep roots and enduring connection to the community.
Margaret was renowned for her skills in the kitchen, where she was a true domestic artist, delighting family and friends with her cooking and baking. Her unwavering faith was reflected in her devoted participation at St. Michael's Church in Netcong, where she was actively involved in the St. Cesario Festival and Fireworks.
Margaret's greatest joy was her family. She treasured her time spent with her grandson, Delroy E. Kern Jr., whom she affectionately called "the apple of her eye," as well as with her beloved sister, Loretta, and her dear nieces: Sue, Michelle, Nancy, Terry, Rita, Darlene.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Kern Sr.
She is survived by three children: Delroy E. Kern Sr. and his wife, Darnel, Edward Kern Jr., and Patricia Halstead; her grandson, Delroy E. Kern Jr.; and her sister, Loretta Pruden
Visitation will beheld on Sunday, August, 25, 2024 at the Morgan Funeral Home, 31 Main St, Netcong, NJ 07857 from 1:00 - 3:30PM. A funeral service will follow visiting on Sunday at the funeral home at 3:30PM.
