A Celebration of Life service for Margaret "Peg" Jane Krick, 87 of Enid, will be 10:00 am on Monday, February 3, 2025, at Central Christian Church with Brian Meyer and Ronnie Hopkins officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory.
Peg passed away on January 28, 2025, as a result of a car accident. She spent the last hours of her life with her sisters in Christ sharing the love of Christ and their lives with each other. Peg always shared a devotion with her reunion group each week and this week she spoke about enduring love and her husband Denny of 68 years, how well she had been loved by him.
Peg was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on July 28, 1937, to Richard and Jeanne Kiovsky. She would eventually meet the love of her life, Denny, while attending Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana and they married on June 15, 1956. Peg would follow Denny in his early teaching career to Illinois, Indiana, and to Plattsburg New York. In 1979, Peg and Denny moved to Enid, Oklahoma, where Peg quickly got involved in the community and managed the Cinderella shop downtown and retired from Jumbo foods as a Department Head. Mom loved working with people, her gentle, kind nature knew no strangers.
At the age of 63, her friend Janet Cox invited her on the Walk to Emmaus, and she was introduced to Christ. She realized that she was the prodigal son and opened her heart to the forgiveness and love our Lord and Savior Jesus, shared in believer's baptism at Central Christian Church and has been a faithful servant of the Lord since that day.
Peg volunteered at Our Daily Bread and Loaves and Fishes and continued to deliver meals for Enid Mobile Meals. She loved providing homebound communion and visiting her church family during their illnesses and oh what a prayer warrior she had become. She never missed a chance to be kind to another and pray for them without reservation. Her motto was, helping others is the rent we pay for our room on earth. Peg was busy with CWF at Central, her AGAPE group, and her reunion group and up until recently taught in her Sunday School class. She would pour over God's word in preparation for teaching always gaining more knowledge and insight to share with friends.
Peg is survived by husband of 68 years Denny; son, David Krick and life partner Jodee of Indianapolis, Indiana; daughter, Denise Bellville of Clearwater, Florida; daughter, Deanna Steffen and her husband, Mark, M.D. of Rago, Kansas. Peg was so proud of her kids and shared in their daily lives, always sharing the light of love, never forgetting to say I love you at the end of all calls and conversations. Peg's brother Richard, M.D. and his wife Carolyn, sister's Barbara Ingram and Lois Partlowe. Peg and Denny were blessed with 5 grandchildren, Michelle Bellville D.V.M. of Clearwater, Florida, Corey Krick M.B.A. of Lutz, Florida, Tyler Krick and his wife, Estefani of Kissimmee, Florida, Collen Steffen J.D. and his wife, Rachel J.D. of Overland Park, Kansas, and Jessica Kinnamon J.D. and her husband, Kade M.E.d. of Plano, Texas. Peg enjoyed the precious gift of 3 great grandchildren, Levi Steffen son of Collen and Rachel, Maia and Ethan Krick, children of Tyler and Estefani Krick.
The Peg Krick Kindness Memorial Fund would accept donations made to Enid Mobile Meals, Our Daily Bread or Loaves and Fishes of Northwest Oklahoma.
