MARGARET (HUBER) KUEPFER
Margaret (Huber) Kuepfer was born on September 24, 1937 near Mt. Crawford, Virginia to Ira and Hannah (Heatwole) Huber. At eight years of age, in April 1945, she moved with her family to Alma, Ontario, Canada. She passed from this life on March 18, 2025 at the age of 87 years, 5 months, and 22 days.
She was married to Jacob Kuepfer on May 28, 1961. They lived in the Wingham area until October 1992, when they moved to Tennessee. In 2012 they moved to Breckenridge, Kentucky to be close to their son Timothy and family. Following Jacob's death in 2017, she relocated to their son Steven and family in Edina, Missouri. More recently she moved with them to Tipton, Missouri. At the time of her death, she was a member of the Versailles Mennonite Church.
She is survived by three sons and two daughters, Philip (Evelyn) Kuepfer of Townville, PA, Timothy (Gloria) of Keota, OK, Lois Kuepfer of Timewell, IL, Steven (Rebekah) Kuepfer of Tipton, MO, and Rachel Kuepfer of Tipton, MO. She is also survived by four sisters, Mildred Showalter of WI, Clara Halteman of NY, Rhoda (Melvin) Beachy of OH, and Dorothy (Jerry) Beachy of IA; four brothers, Samuel (Rhoda) Huber of KY, Roy (Anna Mary) Huber of TX, Irvin (Frieda) Huber of Ontario, Nathan (Violet) Huber of KY; sister-in-law, Ruby Huber of TN; sister-in-law Doris Huber of KY; twenty-three grandchildren and twenty-nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ira and Hannah (Heatwole) Huber; her husband, Jacob; three brothers, John Mark Huber, David Huber, Simon Huber; two brothers-in-law, David Showalter, Wilmer Halteman; a sister-in-law, Maureen (Douglas) Huber; one daughter-in-law, Juaretta (Eberly) Kuepfer; a granddaughter and a great-grandson.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at Versailles Mennonite Church. Visitation will be from 2:00-4:00 p.m., Tuesday at the church. Graveside services and burial will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 27, 2025 at Breckenridge Mennonite Cemetery, Stephensport, Kentucky.
