Margaret Elaine Merry (Thomas) of New Braunfels, Texas passed away on August 20, 2025. She was born in Falfurrias, Texas on September 15, 1952 to Wesley and Clara Mae Thomas.

A devout Christian, Margaret loved music, children, springtime, and above all her family. She was a member of the Texas A&I Singers from 1972-1973, sang in and directed the church choir throughout her life, and taught music and kindergarten for 20 years, touching the lives of hundreds with acceptance and love.

Margaret is survived by her husband of 48 years, Joe G. Merry, Jr., her daughter Lisa Michelle Merry and husband Sam Sanford, her son Scott Merry and wife Cambria Merry, her granddaughter Ariel Merry, and her sister Vera Crawford and husband David Crawford. She also leaves behind cherished nephews, nieces, cousins, in-laws, and friends.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents Wesley and Clara Mae Thomas, her stepmother Juanita Thomas, and her father-in-law Joe G. Merry Sr.
