PALMORE, Margaret Jennings, 84, of Colonial Heights, died Thursday, February 7, 2008 at her residence. She was born in Powhatan County and was the daughter of the late Fitzhugh L. and Eunice Copeland Jennings; and the widow of Harry Palmore Jr. Mrs. Palmore was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church in Colonial Heights. She is survived by two daughters, Patsy Goudreault and husband, Tom, of Colonial Heights and Lynda Dalton and husband, Steve, of Mecklenburg County; two sons, Harry Palmore and wife, Carolyn, of Chesterfield and Donald Palmore and his friend, Chris Johnson, of Louisville, Ky.; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, four stepgrandchildren and four stepgreat-grandchildren; two sisters, Kathryn J. Varnell of Colonial Heights and Lois J. Watkins of Colonial Heights; two brothers, James Jennings and wife, Hattie, of Florida and Fitzhugh Jennings of Richmond; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will take place Monday, February 11, 2008, 11 a.m., at Woodlawn Baptist Church, 3116 Woodlawn Ave., Colonial Heights, Va. 23834, with the Rev. Dr. John Mason officiating. Burial will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George. The family will receive friends Sunday, February 10, 2008 from 3 to 4:30 p.m. at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Woodlawn Baptist Church or to Bon Secours Hospice, 5875 Bremo Road, Suite 710, Richmond, Va. 23226. Margaret will be greatly missed by all who attend Woodlawn Baptist. There wasn't a person who entered this church that wasn't greated by Margaret with a warm hand shake or hug and a hughe smile. Sundays won't be the same without her.
