Margaret B Shambo
LAWRENCE, MA- Margaret Beam Shambo, 96 of Lawrence, MA and formerly of Rutland, VT died Sunday September 7, 2025 at the Mary Immaculate Nursing home in Lawrance, MA.
She was born June 29, 1929 in Westminster the daughter of Ernest C. and Julia E. (Willis) Beam Sr.
Mrs. Shambo was a longtime resident of Jaffrey, NH where she was member of the Methodist Church.
She married Alfred W. Shambo on November 26, 1983.
Mrs. Shambo had been employed by Peterborough Basket Company for several years and the Brookstone Co. in Peterborough, NH for 6 years prior to relocating to Rutland in 1983.
She enjoyed crocheting, reading, traveling and attending the community dinners at the Clarendon Senior Center.
Survivors include 3 step-sons Theodore Shambo, Paul Shambo and Peter Shambo, a sister and Marie Plumley of Townshend, a brother Erwin Beam of Newport, several Step-Grandchildren, Step- great grandchildren, nieces and nephews..
She was predeceased by her husband on June 19, 2006, sisters Lillian Shafer, Caroline Reed, Etta Thomas, Lorraine Taylor and Dorothy Beam, brothers Ernest Beam Jr., Clyde Beam, William Beam, LeRoy Beam and Elmer Beam.
There will be no public calling hours or funeral service.
Graveside services will be held 11AM on Wednesday September 24th 2025 in the Westminster Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Aldous Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, VT. Division
