It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Margaret E. Spero, who departed this life on August 16, 2025, at the age of 90. Born on March 6, 1935, in Queens, New York to her parents Sam and Margaret DeFini. Margaret lived a life characterized by her kind and caring nature, forever devoted to her family and loved ones.
Margaret was a proud graduate who earned her high school diploma, setting the foundation for a life filled with learning and compassion. Throughout her years, she nurtured and cherished the bond she shared with her family, especially her seven beloved grandchildren and one great-grandchild, who brought her immeasurable joy and pride.
In addition to her family, Margaret will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Kim E. Dunne and her husband Terrence, and Allyson Corchado and her husband David, as well as her son Albert E. Spero. The warmth and love she showed will continue to echo through the lives of her descendants.
Margaret is preceded in death by her father, Sam, her mother, Margaret, and her devoted husband, Albert. Their memories are now cherished among her family alongside fond recollections of her caring spirit and vibrant personality.
Family and friends are invited to honor her memory during visitation hours on August 20, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM and again from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM, at the Deer Park - Mangano Family Funeral Home, located at 1701 Deer Park Avenue, Deer Park, NY 11729. A Mass to celebrate her life will be held on August 21, 2025, at 11:15 AM at Saints Cyril & Methodius R.C. Church, located at 125 Half Hollow Road, Deer Park, NY 11729.
Margaret E. Spero's life was one of unwavering love and kindness, leaving an indelible impact on all who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be sorely missed but fondly remembered.
