Maria was a talented seamstress who worked for Marstelle's Bronx, New York. Her dedication to her craft was evident in the care and precision she brought to her work. Beyond her profession, she was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who found her greatest joy in the love of her family. Her grandchildren were especially dear to her heart, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
An active parishioner at St. Joseph's Church in Somers, Maria's faith was a guiding force in her life. She found strength and community within the church and remained deeply committed to her beliefs.
Maria is survived by her daughter, Angela Giordano; two cherished grandchildren Lisa (Thomas) and her favorite puppy Forest & Joseph (Kristen); four great-grandchildren, Ava, Andrew, Luke and Lila and her brother, Jerry Mascia. Her love and devotion to family will be remembered always. she is predeceased by her Husband Sebastian Capozzi.
Maria's legacy of love and devotion will live on in the hearts of those who knew her. May her memory bring comfort to all who mourn her passing.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 10, 2025 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Cargain Funeral Home, 418 Route 6 (GPS US-6), Mahopac, NY.
A Mass of Christian Burial to honor and celebrate Maria's life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at St. Joseph's Church, 95 Plum Brook Road, Somers, NY.
Following the Mass, Maria will be escorted to her final resting place and entombed at Ferncliff Cemetery in Hartsdale, NY.
