Born November 28, 1952, and raised in Bethpage, NY, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Josephone Sapone.
Maria was married to the late Theodore (Ted) Hanak until his passing in 2010. They lived a wonderful life together, first traveling cross-country and then settling in Kentucky raising Paul until finally retiring in Myrtle Beach, SC.
Maria enjoyed spending her time gardening, caring for her landscaping, baking tasty treats for family and neighborhood friends, and playing bocce ball with the Sons of Italy.
Mrs. Hanak is entrusted to the care of Kelvin F. Lewis, Funeral Director, and Lewis Crematory & Funeral Services of Myrtle Beach, SC. (843) 294-0011.
Her wishes were no services were to be held.
