Obituary
Maria Theresa Jeric, 26, daughter, sister, aunt, and Godmother, passed away on Sunday, August 13, 2023 after a courageous fight with adrenal cancer. She graduated from St. Brigid of Kildare School (2011), Bishop Watterson High School (2015), Miami University (2019), and Ohio Dominican University (2021). Maria proudly worked for Stella Primary Care as a Physician Assistant despite her illness, and her patients adored her.
Maria excelled in everything. She played tennis in high school and loved to snowboard and rock climb. To raise awareness and donations for adrenal cancer research, her family rode in this year's Pelotonia, and Maria was able to join them at the finish line. She also played flute, sang, and perfected many Spotify playlists for various occasions.
Maria was a faith-filled young woman, and her Catholic Faith sustained and strengthened her throughout her 16-month battle with cancer. Through the Knights of Malta, she made a pilgrimage to Lourdes, France with her parents this past May. Maria was selfless and giving, kind and compassionate, caring and outgoing, funny and witty, and inspiring beyond words because of her toughness and determination to never give up.
Maria is survived by her parents, Rick and Theresa Jeric; her brothers Richard (Sarah) Jeric and Christian (Jocè) Jeric; her niece Lydia Jeric; her soon-to-arrive Godson and nephew Joseph Jeric; her grandparents Joe and Ruth Jeric; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Visiting hours will be on Thursday, August 17, 2023 from 4-8 p.m. and Friday, August 18, 2023 from 9:45-10:45 a.m. at St. Brigid of Kildare Catholic Church, 7179 Avery Road, Dublin, Ohio 43017. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. at St. Brigid of Kildare Catholic Church. In honor of her desire to bolster research for adrenal cancer, memorial donations can be made to Pelotonia Adrenal Team Maria. In appreciation for the generous care Maria received and to support others with cancer, memorial donations can also be made to Hope Hollow. The family sincerely thanks all who cared for Maria at The James and those who lovingly visited her before her passing.
