SHREWSBURY-Maria Milagros Diaz-Rodriguez- Mejias, age 75, of Shrewsbury, MA, formerly of Marlborough, MA, passed away at home in hospice care. Her body succumbed to the effects of cancer after a courageous two-year battle on April 5, 2025, surrounded by her family.
She was blessed with four children, Lirazol (Lala) Alie and her husband, Anthony (Stu) of Shrewsbury, Litza (Lisa) Nelson of Stuart, FL, Jose (Joe) Peluyera-Banks and his husband, Damian of Cypress, TX and Maria Post of North Carolina; her beloved ten grandchildren, twins-Andrew and Alayna Alie, Joshua Nelson, Adrianna Nelson, Trei (TJ) Post, Max Post, Dillon Post, Joseph Post, Ethan Banks and Aliyah Banks; she also had four great grandchildren James (LJ) Berry, III, Elena Nelson, Jaxxon & Hadlee Hamdeed, and she had two siblings Alex Cruz and Gloria Cruz.
She was born in Corozal, PR daughter of Jose Rodriguez and Ildelfonsa Diaz.
Maria worked as a quality control inspector at Raytheon for many years, before retiring. She loved Jesus, gardening and following politics. She cherished her time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
All are invited for Visiting Hours on Thursday, April 10th from 5pm-7pm at Fay Brothers Life Celebration Home, 1 West Boylston St., West Boylston, MA. A Graveside Service will be held at Mountain View Cemetery, Shrewsbury, Friday, April 11, 2025, at 11:30am.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Abbey House in Worcester at www.abbeyhouse.org.
