Ramon L. Mejias, age 68, of Camden, NJ, passed away on March 20, 2022. He was born to the late Isaac Mejias Perez and Norberta Medina Mendres in Toa Baja, Puerto Rico and moved to NJ in the late 70s. Ramon previously worked as a machine operator for Edmur Metal Products. A talented musician, Ramon played the timbales in Orquestra Viquiense. He enjoyed playing softball in Puerto Rico and NJ. Ramon often kept himself busy with painting side jobs. He will be remembered for making others laugh with his jokes. Ramon will be deeply missed.
Ramon is predeceased by his parents, Isaac Mejias Perez and Norberta Medina Mendres and siblings, Elvira Mejias Medina, Alejandro Mejias Medina, and David Mejias Medina.
He is survived by his children, Raymond Mejias, Leticia Perez (Jose Perez), and Marybel Mejias (Jeffrey Hopkins); and their mother, Carmen Santiago; grandchildren, Justin, Janessa, Raymond III, Isaac, Jose, Josh, Adrian, Jordan, Marilese, and Jaslynn; siblings, Aurora Mejias Medina, Josefa Mejias Medina, Juana Mejias Medina, Catalina Mejias Medina, and Augustine Mejias Medina; and many loving nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation on Sunday, March 27, 2022 from 2pm-4pm at Funeraria Hernandez, 2426 Cove Road, Pennsauken, NJ 08109. A funeral service will begin at 4pm at the funeral home. Ramon will be cremated and laid to rest in Puerto Rico.
