Maria C. Mirabelli

Maria Carmella Mirabelli, age 84, loving mother to Emilo (Margaret Mary) and Peter, adoring grandmother to Emma, Anna, Anthony and Alex, and devoted wife to Ettore (deceased), passed away on Friday, December 27th.
Maria was born on September 26th 1940 to her mother, Maria Raffaella Consiglio (nee Postorivo)and her father, Vincenzo Consiglio. She grew up in Roggiano Gravina, Italy, with her beloved sister, Filomena Procopio (deceased), and brother, Carmine (deceased). Shortly after marrying her husband, Ettore, Maria immigrated to the United States.
Maria raised her family in the Mayfair section of Northeast Philadelphia before moving to Huntingdon Valley, later in life. Maria spent many years working as a nurse's aid at Byberry and Norristown State Hospitals where she shared her caring and compassionate spirit.
Maria will be remembered as a kind and giving person who cherished time spent with family sitting around a table, sharing a meal, and reminiscing about her life. She will be greatly missed by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins whom she spoke to often and who cared for her deeply. And by her two adoring sons whom she referred to as, "my loves", and in response was told, "We have the greatest mom in the world!"
Relatives and friends are invited to call Thursday, January 2nd from 10 to 11am at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 611 Knowles Avenue, Southampton, PA 18966. Her Funeral Mass will follow at 11am. Entombment will take place at Sunset Memorial Park.
