Maria H. Saenz (Maria Hernandez) was born November 14, 1954, in Corpus Christi, Texas, and was guided by God to her eternal home on August 26, 2025.
She was affectionately known and all that came across her path knew she loved to smile and laugh, just having a great time with all. Her voyage on Earth was one marked by love, kindness, and compassion. Her passing is going to leave a void in the hearts of family, friends, and everyone that crossed paths with her. The two things that she loved more than life itself were her family and her friends. She also had great admiration for her husband, George Strait (which he didn’t know), along with men in uniform.
More importantly, she was kind and wanted to help everyone and she wanted everyone to be more like her. Please remember her not by her passing, but by how she lived her life.
She is survived by her brother, Marcos Hernandez; along with her three stepchildren, Pete Saenz, Naomi Skolmutch, and Tony Saenz, which she was a devoted stepmother and her love and dedication were a great source of strength for them. Her many loving nephews and nieces will also miss her love and kindness.
Even though Maria’s physical presence may no longer grace our lives, her spirit will continue to encourage and lift us. Your bright smile and light will always shine in our hearts.
