Marian Gilbert Obituary
Marian L. Gilbert, 90, of Newark, DE, passed away peacefully at her daughter's home, surrounded by her loved ones. Born in Williamsport, PA; raised in Danville, PA; and moving to Newark, DE in 1963, Marian loved being a homemaker until her employment at MetLife in 1980. She enjoyed spending time with family, gardening, square dancing and decorating her home (a do-it-yourselfer with painting and wallpapering).
She was predeceased by her son, Randy Day; her companion, Joseph White; 3 sisters, and 2 brothers.
Marian is survived by her daughter, Debra Records (James); 6 grandchildren: Bryan Records (Amy); James Michael Records; Stephanie Cowden (Jessie); Michelle Olson (Shawn); Melinda Arnold (Chris); Ashley Davila (Matthew); 10 great grandchildren; one brother, Rick Mock (Judie); and her devoted friend, Sue Pownall.
We will miss the twinkle in her blue eyes, the warmth in her smile, and the love in her heart.
Services will be held privately with her family.
A special thank you to her team of nurses, aides, social workers, and doctor at Seasons Hospice, who provided care, comfort and compassion over the past 20 months.

Dear Debbie and Family,
I am so sorry to hear of your dear Mother´s passing and that you all must experience such heartbreak. Your beautiful Mother left a wonderful legacy of love and her presence on this Earth made a difference to so many. I wish I was closer so that I could offer some comfort and help as you have done for me and my Larry family in difficult times of sickness and loss. I pray that your find strength in the beautiful memories you share with your Mother, and comfort in the knowledge that you will be reunited once your Earthly journey is done. Sending love to you and all those who will miss your Mother.

Dear Debbie and Family, I am so sorry to hear of your Mother´s passing and I pray for your strength and comfort during this difficult time. Your Mother made a wonderful difference during her time on this Earth and has left a beautiful legacy of love. I wish I was closer to provide help and assistance to you and your family in your time of loss as you have done for me and my family in your past. May you be strengthened by your beautiful memories of your Mother and comforted in the knowledge that you will one day be reunited with her when your own Earthly journey is complete. Debbie ,Marian was truly blessed to have you for her daughter and you to have her for your mother. She told me many times how good you were to her and how you were always there for her.I loved your moms smile especially the one in the picture you would send me when she would get her hair done. She was a beautiful women in side and out.Her hugs and kisses were genuine . You were the most devoted daughter To your mother then any women I know. Your mother at age 90 with a blink of an eye went home .May God bless you ,Fletcher and your family and hold you tight today and always.Love ,Brenda and Rick
