Marian K. Tosches, age 101, of Braintree passed away on June 13, 2025. Marian was born on May 5, 1924 and was raised in Roxbury before moving to Quincy, where she graduated from Quincy High School. After high school, she began working in local supermarkets, while caring for her parents, where she especially loved working in the floral and bakery departments. Marian found joy in painting—especially animals and flowers. She was also passionate about gardening, tending to a stunning three-tiered garden that could have graced the pages of any gardening magazine or gardening show. An avid reader, she enjoyed books on history and always stayed informed on current events.
Marian is survived by her niece Theresa M. DelVecchio of Braintree, her nephew Philip Somontes of Abington, and her sisters Concetta DelVecchio and Marguerite Tosches of Braintree. She was predeceased by her brother Louis Tosches and her sister Josephine Somontes.
Burial will be private.
