Marianne E. Gonzalez, a longtime resident of Pequannock, passed away peacefully on November 17, 2025, at the age of 72.

She held a deep affection for her hometown and was a devoted New York Yankees fan. Marianne was passionate about civil rights and took part in anti-war activism during the 1960s. She also had a unique curiosity for true-crime stories and enjoyed watching documentaries and learning more about them.

Above all, Marianne cherished her family. She adored her children, siblings, and her many nieces and nephews, and was known as a loving and devoted aunt. In her community, she was warmly referred to as "Mom," a reflection of her kindness, generosity, and the affection so many felt for her.

Marianne is survived by her sons Richard and Nicholas, her brothers Don, Peter, Tom, Jim, Henry and Carl, and her sisters Helen, Jeanette, and Patty. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who held her close to their hearts. Marianne is predeceased by her beloved husband Diego, her best friend Cindy, her brothers Tommy and Bobby, her sister Antoinette, and her parents Dorr Swartwood and Mildred Wyant.

A celebration of her life will be held for the family at a later date.
