Maribeth Krehbiel

After a long and courageous fight with cancer, on October 29th 2025, Maribeth Krehbiel was free and at rest. She was surrounded by family as she began her peaceful journey. Maribeth was born in Detroit, Michigan on February 27, 1961 to parents, Ruth and Dean Craig Rebold. She attended Lahser High School where she was a cheerleader and ran track. She received both her Bachelor and Masters Degrees from Michigan State University.
Beth began her teaching career in Fairfax, Virginia. Returning to her roots, she joined the Berkley School District where she inspired her students for 39 years. She received many honors including Teacher of the Year while teaching at Burton Elementary School. Maribeth became an Administrator as the Assistant Principal at Norup Middle School and then moved to Angell Elementary School as Principal. After several years, she returned to Burton Elementary School, this time as Principal and for many years led with foresight and affection for her students and faculty.
Beth leaves her daughter, Eryn Lee (Justin), her mother, Ruth Roberge Rebold, (father, D. Craig Rebold, deceased), sister, Pamela Pitts, (Dan), nieces, Gillian and Elizabeth, and nephew, Reagan, as well as many other relatives and friends.
She will be greatly missed by all who have had the pleasure of knowing her.
A "Celebration of Life" will take place in February, 2026 to honor Maribeth's birthday and her amazing life.
