Marie Case Obituary

Publish in a newspaper

Marie Ann Case, a devoted wife, cherished sister, beloved aunt, and loyal friend, passed away peacefully on September 9, 2025, at the age of 64. Her warmth, wisdom, and unwavering support touched countless lives, leaving behind a legacy of grace and compassion that will never be forgotten. Marie was preceded in death by her mother, Jeanette Wolfe, and her sister, Margaret Lommen. She is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Thomas Case; her father, Donald Wolfe; her brothers, Daniel Wolfe (Mara) and William Wolfe (Colleen); along with many treasured relatives and lifelong friends. For over twenty years, Marie served as a receptionist at Meshbesher & Student, P.A., where she took immense pride in keeping the office running smoothly and supporting her attorneys with meticulous care. Her gift for organization extended well beyond the workplace-Marie was the ultimate mover and packer, having relocated 19 times with Tom across Colorado, Utah, and Minnesota. Each move was met with enthusiasm and precision, a challenge she embraced with joy and grace. Marie's love for animals was evident in the way she cared for her golden retrievers-Henry, Sadie, and Charlie-and her cockatiel, Huey, who often rode shotgun in their moving van adventures. Grooming, training, and nurturing her pets brought her endless happiness and reflected her gentle, attentive spirit. An avid reader, Marie found solace and excitement in the pages of mysteries and spy novels, always eager to discover new authors and stories. Her adventurous spirit first took flight with a trip to Germany in her youth and continued throughout her marriage. Together, she and Tom explored numerous U.S. states and Caribbean islands, often combining travel with Tom's speaking engagements at technology and cybersecurity conferences. Marie delighted in discovering new places and creating lasting memories. Among her greatest joys was being "Aunt Marie." Her encouragement was tireless, her pride in her nieces and nephews boundless. She was always just a text or call away-listening deeply, offering thoughtful advice, and following up to ensure those she loved felt truly seen, heard, and supported. Whether at baseball games, hockey rinks, swimming pools, or soccer fields, Marie was a constant and enthusiastic presence, cheering on the children of her family and close friends. She understood the challenges of parenting and stepped in as a steady, loving presence whenever needed. Marie's kindness, empathy, and ability to truly listen made her a trusted confidante and a source of strength for many. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched, the love she gave, and the grace she carried through every chapter of her life. Services will be held on Sunday, September 21, 2025. Visitation from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM Celebration of Life from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Services will be held at Washburn-McReavy, 5000 West 50th & Highway 100, Edina, MN 55436.

I am deeply saddened upon learning of Marie's passing. I knew her back in our junior and later high school days, and we saw Linda Ronstadt perform at the Minnesota State Fair in 1977! Over the years we lost touch, but a few years ago we had lunch together to catch up on our lives and we had a wonderful time. Marie was a warm human being with a great positive attitude, I will miss her greatly. My deepest condolences to her family.

I am so sorry for this great loss, Marie was such a sweet heart and always had such a calm demeanor. We dated in 9th grade and i never had anything but great respect and admiration for her. RIP my friend !! Praying for all of her family through this very difficult time.

I knew Marie more in junior high. I always thought of her as so very kind and a really caring person. I was fortunate to see her at one of our last class reunions. And it had been SO long since I had seen her. She gave me the biggest, warmest, caring hug. I'll always remember that. And that's exactly who she was. She was warm and she was caring. I'm so sorry for her family and friends loss. Peace to all of you. Rest in peace, Marie
