Marie Louise “Lulu” Geismar, a native of Baton Rouge and lifelong resident of Ascension Parish, passed away on July 18, 2024, at the age of 75. She graduated from East Ascension High School in 1966 and attended St. Joseph Academy in Bay St. Louis, MS. Lulu worked many years at Walmart (Gonzales and Zachary locations). She loved cooking and clogging; she was such a great cook. Lulu was a huge fan of Freddie Mercury of Queen. She was a Christian and a firm believer in Jesus Christ and is now resting in the arms of her beloved mother Mary.
Lulu is survived by her children, “Buffy” Smith (Kevin), Brooke Hitzman (Jerry), Michael Boudreaux, Kathleen McCrory Wade (Mike), and Jacob McCrory; grandchildren, Kalyn Graves, Hayden Bourgeois, Katie Stowers, Brady Smith, Gabe Hitzman (Gabriel), Carly Smith, Madison Hitzman, Zoe Boudreaux, Tyler Keirnan, and Zach Boudreaux; great-grandchildren, Ivy Smith, Breck Graves, Bennett Stowers; sister, Susie George; brother, Leon Geismar (Patty)
Preceded in death by parents, Leon “Bubber” Geismar and Mildred “Mickey” Knox Geismar; Knox Geismar, and brother-in-law, Eddie George.
Lulu was a huge fan of all LSU sports. Geaux Tigers!!!
